Copper Country Senior Meals is creating and selling Holiday Cookie Boxes this December as a fundraiser. Boxes are being sold from Monday, December 5 through Sunday, December 11 on their website. Delivery or pickup will be available on Monday, December 19. The cookies, which are being prepared by Senior Meals staff, will come in a seasonally decorated box

“Our staff has been coming together and sharing recipes, talking about the joy baking and cookies brings to people, and genuinely getting excited about the holiday season that’s upon us,” Copper Country Seniors Meals Executive Director Kathleen Harter said. “This will be a great opportunity for us to better connect with our community and enjoy some delicious holiday cookies.”

There are two cookie boxes available. The first is the Gourmet Box. It is $40 and includes 18 cookies highlighted by Lemon White Chocolate, Caramel Apple, Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark and more. The second is the Bakers Dozen. For $20 it includes Ginger Snap, Cranberry Chocolate, Snickerdoodle, Pretzel Delights and more.

The boxes will be available on Monday, December 19. They can be picked up at the Senior Meals office at 821 W. Water Street in Hancock between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. that day during Copper Country Senior Meal’s Share the Love event that’s happening in conjunction with Subaru. Supporters who stop by between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. can join the celebration with cake and coffee. For those who live within five miles of the office, delivery is available for no additional cost.

Cookie boxes can be ordered now at coppercountryseniormeals.org, stopping by the Copper Country Senior Meals office or by calling the Senior Meals office at 1 (906) 483-1155.
